Meet Dr. Bradford Hearn, O.D.
Dr. Bradford Hearn grew up in Huntersville, NC, with deep community roots and a commitment to providing exceptional eye care. Following his father’s footsteps, he pursued a career in optometry, beginning with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Sciences from North Carolina State University. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, bringing back his skills and expertise to serve his hometown.
Dr. Hearn has a particular passion for contact lenses, serving as a Brand Ambassador for Acculens, where he specializes in fitting specialty lenses. His focus on innovative lens solutions enables him to address complex eye conditions with customized care, ensuring patients experience optimal vision and comfort.
Outside the office, Dr. Hearn is actively involved in shaping the optometry profession. As an Examiner for the North Carolina State Board of Examiners in Optometry, he assesses new candidates for licensure, evaluating their clinical knowledge and skills. His commitment to maintaining high standards in the field also extends to serving as a Committee Head on the Board and previously as State President of the North Carolina Optometric Society, where he advocated for legislative advancements to expand optometric practice.
In his free time, Dr. Hearn enjoys spending time on Lake Norman and cheering on his favorite sports teams, the NC State Wolfpack and Carolina Panthers. Known for his warmth and dedication to his patients, Dr. Hearn is proud to continue his family’s legacy of compassionate, community-focused eye care at Lakeside Eye Associates.
