Meet Dr. Brad Hearn, O.D.

Dr. Brad Hearn, originally from North Carolina, has been delivering exceptional eye care to his community for over three decades. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Elon College and received his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. With a passion for helping others achieve their best vision, Dr. Hearn began practicing optometry in 1986 and has since become a trusted provider of comprehensive eye care in the Birkdale and Lake Norman areas.

In addition to his work in the clinic, Dr. Hearn has played an active role in the professional community. He served as President of the Piedmont Optometric Society and currently holds the position of Clinical Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. His leadership and dedication to advancing the field of optometry are further highlighted by his tenure as State President of the North Carolina Optometric Society, where he was a key advocate for expanding the scope of optometric care in the state.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Hearn actively engages with his local community. He is a member of Davidson United Methodist Church and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children in Huntersville, NC. In his free time, he loves staying active through waterskiing and snow skiing, hobbies that reflect his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors.

I love this place. This place has been my eye specialist for over 2years. The staff has changed with people and even how they handle people and it’s wonderful. I love the front/pay desk they are very helpful, attentive, friendly, ALWAYS speaking to EVERYONE who walks in, makes you feel like you are wanted and welcomed. They explain things over and over (even when you get on their nerves) until you understand and go out of their way to help you with WHATEVER you need. The people who take you to do the tests they are good, but sometimes I feel like I’m on a conveyer belt. No connection(amongst themselves though). Dr B is lovely, very personal, honest, attentive, helpful and a great listener and hearer. I’ve always loved him. The store side is very personable, friendly, helpful and wonderful and they always speak(don’t thing they’ve had much of a change). They always treat me like an old friend and I’ve never bought anything but they’ve fixed my glasses and answered questions like I spend on that side. Old people like me like that in a person/business who takes care of us or we give our money to. But between you and me I’ve always been that way, that’s how people and businesses get my loyalty and I send people and advertise for them. It’s how they treat me the first time.💙💙

I was visiting the area and got a stye in my eye that was really irritating my eye. I called for an appointment and was seen the same day. Dr Salazar was professional and polite. She gave me some prescriptions for antibiotics and I am doing much better within 24 hours. The facility is easy to find and has plenty of parking. I highly recommend this facility for your eye care.
